Course Description for Intuit Courses, Level 1, 2 and 3: QuickBooks Pro
and Web Design Courses:

Computers – QuickBooks Pro 2007 Level 1
$195 - 15-Hour

Recommended: Students should have a basic understanding of accounting terms. Students are encouraged to take Intro to Accounting Level 1 to optimize learning experience in QuickBooks Pro Level 1. Students learn how to use the features of QuickBooks to enter and track financial transactions and analyze the financial data it provides. Basic functionality of the QuickBooks Pro program is taught for the individual who wishes to gain a solid, “global” perspective of this software used in keeping financial records for small to midsize businesses. Students will gain an understanding of setting up a company, overview of chart of accounts, bank accounts, entering sales information, receiving payments and entering bills.

Computers – QuickBooks Pro 2007 Level 2
$195 - 15-Hour

Prerequisite: Intro to Accounting Level 1 and QuickBooks Pro Level 1
Students will continue to develop their understanding of the functionality of QuickBooks Pro. Students will learn the mechanics of developing credit card transactions, establishing asset, depreciation, liability, and equity accounts. Students expand their skills in developing an inventory, establishing purchase orders, sales tax, invoicing, job estimates, and monitoring job status.

Computers – QuickBooks Pro 2007 Level 3
$600 - (4-hour session, 4-weeks: Total 48 Hours)

Prerequisite: Intro to Accounting Level 2, QuickBooks Levels 1 and 2
By Level 3, students learn comprehensive bookkeeping skills and their application using QuickBooks Pro software. Students learn to apply day-to-day bookkeeping functions as they progress through developing bank accounts, asset accounts & liability accounts, equity accounts, journal entries, T-Accounts, chart of accounts, inventory schedules, track and pay sales taxes.

Students also continue to learn how to use QuickBooks as a tool to automate the tasks being performed as a business owner or setting up a business. Students analyze and audit the financial data through QB Pro reports (income statements, balance sheets, gross margin, profitability, etc.) and establish payroll, payroll taxes and cash-pay & accrual systems. This class focuses on tying the bookkeeping functions to QuickBooks Pro.

Students enrolled in QuickBooks Pro 3 must have a comprehensive solid understanding of the functionality of Quick-Books Pro. (70% or better on QuickBooks Pro Assessment Exam)
